The Google Maps Team is Listening

Google has responded very gracefully to my recent rant about the new look Google Maps. In the response Google point out that the new Google Maps is "is still in preview mode". Which is something I really should have mentioned at the beginning of my criticism of the new Google Maps.

Google also say that they are listening to "all the comments and reporting them back to our engineering team". Another good point that Google make in their response (and another point I should have made in my post) is that users are invited to leave their feedback and suggestions for the new look Google Maps via the "Help and feedback menu" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Google Maps
We hear you +Google Maps Mania (context: http://goo.gl/UW9LWW). And we also hear all of you who have spoken so passionately about the things you miss in the new Google Maps. Even if we don't always reply, rest assured that we have a team monitoring all the comments and reporting them back to our engineering team. The new Google Maps on desktop is still in preview mode, and we're hard at work adding in all the great features mentioned in this post (plus a few more). Stay tuned, mapheads! And keep sending us your feedback using the "Help and feedback menu" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. We're listening.
